Purpose of Job

The Estimation Engineer in the Electrical Unit plays a critical role in shaping the organization's competitive position, profitability, and success in the marketplace by delivering accurate, timely, and value-driven cost estimates for electrical projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Studies books of specifications and selects the most suitable product.
  • Prepares offers and submittals in coordination with the Sales. Revises offers, as necessary.
  • Follows-up with appropriate contacts on submitted offers to secure a positive closing. (Technically, in coordination with the sales team)
  • Drafts / Initiates relative purchase orders (LPOs, LPR, Sales Orders)
  • Assists, if needed, the Sales team in following up on customers’ accounts and ensures that the payment schedule is well executed and/or credit terms are well respected.
  • Prepares sales reports and/or technical, price comparisons, letters, and correspondence with clients, order acknowledgments, etc.
  • Communicates with suppliers / Principals: Sends RFQs, special price requests.
    Prepares/reviews AutoCAD drawings for Busbar Trunking/other Electrical products.

Requirements

  • AutoCAD + Microsoft Windows, Office Outlook is preferred 
  • Product technical knowledge
  • Knowledge in Product selection software/tools
  • Able to select correct products based on projects specification

Job Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
