Description
Provides final effluent disinfection by ultraviolet irradiation (no chemical residual), typically applied in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants where regulatory discharge or water reuse standards require pathogen reduction. Montagna UV systems are designed with low-pressure high-output (LPHO) UV lamps and modular reactor channels to ensure efficient microbial inactivation with low energy consumption and reliable operation.
Typical ranges:
- UV dose: 20–40 mJ/cm² (depending on regulatory requirements)
- Flow per system (reactor dependent): ~10–5,000 m³/h
- Typical log reduction: Bacteria 2–4 log, Viruses 1–3 log
- UVT operating band (design dependent): ~55–95%
